Early in December 2017, we had a little cold spell.  It was the first decent snow since we have had the Discovery Sport.  I wasn’t sure how well it would preform in soft deep snow, as it doesn’t have ground clearence compared to the other Landys we’ve had. The discovery sport does not have low ratio gears either, also our one has 20″ alloys, and standard road tires, neither are really great for much offroad!  So, we headed out to the Brecon Beacons, and decided to packed our barbecue, for a but of fun!

We’ve been up to this areas in the past with when we have had snow.  Just north of Dan y Ogof caves on the A4067 there’s an amzing country road.

As we turned off on to the road we could see that most cars had given up on this road.  In other years cars have headed along in the snow, but this year it was too deep, so 4x4s only!

About halfway along we pulled into an area that I know is a gravel area, however today it was snow covered and we could just make out where to stop.
